Just curious how different front wheel widths affect the handling. I understand for rear wheels, a narrower wheel can add sidewall flex and tighten the car, does the same principles apply with front wheels?

I wouldn't say a narrower wheel will tighten the car. It generally will tighten the car because of the jacking affect it has on the CGH causing the car to raise up which transfers more weight from the front to the back. It DOESN'T tighten the car because it "digs" the RR into the dirt more. The problem with this is that it also transfers more weight from the left rear to the right rear which generally will loosen the car. It would be better to raise the car rather than go to a narrower wheel. Assuming of course that you had the width of the RR wheel correct for the tire you are using. Same goes for the front.

So then would a narrower right front wheel transfer more weight to that corner? Understanding I’d be better off just raising the front to achieve the same thing, I’m just curious why the different size wheel widths for the front. Thanks for the info!

Yes, it transfers more weight because of the jacking affect. I think its better to just raise the car.
