600, 270, Midget, Quarter Midget or Lightning Sprint? Winged or non-winged? How heavy is the driver? How high is the seat mounted off the bottom rail? Is the track more circle shaped or more paper clip shaped? Or which track is it?

OK, the problem is the center of gravity height, with the light weight driver, they struggle for drive because the weight doesn't transfer due to the low CGH. You can try just raising the whole car up, like 1-1/2" blocks + 2 - 3 turns all around (for torsion car times tha by 4 if coil). If that is not enough you will have to raise the driver seat up.

Not sure why I said -3, should have read this "1-1/2" blocks + 2 turns all around"
