Is there any advantage to running a curtain gear in the transmission compared to any other? Im coming from the karting and stock car work where in karting 1 tooth on the driver makes a huge difference and the big cars we always tried to run 1;1 through the transmission. so will it make a difference if my buddy runs a 14t driver in 3rd and I run a 13 in in 4th if we come out to just a couple points difference final ratio?
